The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is an integral part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), dedicated to driving revenue, adoption, and growth from small to mid-market accounts, as well as enterprise-level clients, including those in the public sector. We prioritize understanding our customers' most complex and critical business challenges to create and implement go-to-market strategies that transform AWS concepts into multi-billion-dollar ventures. As a member of WWSO, you will provide expertise throughout the entire lifecycle of an AWS customer initiative, from conceptualizing new services to accelerating the adoption of established offerings. In this capacity, you will serve as the BTP GTM Lead, collaborating with SAP, AWS teams (including Solution Architects, Solutions & GTM Programs, Engineering, and Partner Organizations), and AWS Partners to formulate a comprehensive GTM strategy that differentiates AWS for BTP. You will influence our product strategy to deploy innovative services on BTP on AWS, develop content and GTM messaging for AWS sellers to effectively communicate BTP's unique advantages and facilitate increased RISE migrations.
AWS and SAP have been partners since SAP became a customer in 2008. Together, we have certified AWS to support a majority of SAP solutions, introduced purpose-built EC2 instances to meet SAP customer requirements, and assisted SAP in leveraging AWS services to enhance several of their SaaS and PaaS offerings, including Concur, SuccessFactors (for government agencies), HANA Cloud Platform, Signavio, and SAP Analytics Cloud. AWS has been supporting SAP workloads for clients longer than any other cloud provider (since 2011), with thousands of customers running their SAP ERP and critical business systems on AWS today, utilizing RISE, traditional perpetual licenses, and hybrid deployment models. SAP operates more SAP BTP Services on AWS than any other Cloud Services Provider. Clients can modernize their SAP systems using over 200 AWS cloud-native services and more than 80 SAP BTP services available on AWS, including solutions for data lakes, AI/ML, GenAI, image recognition, chatbots, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead GTM initiatives to coordinate sales efforts across sales, marketing, partner, product, training, and professional services teams to expedite the adoption of your designated technology domain.
• Utilize your extensive domain knowledge to develop best-in-class field enablement and sales strategies.
• Assist field teams in crafting solutions for high-priority clients.
• Relay market insights back to product teams to foster innovation on AWS product roadmaps.
• Manage reporting and planning cycles to AWS executives regarding GTM plan execution.
• Exhibit thought leadership and represent AWS credibly at industry events, conferences, and symposiums.
• 10+ years of experience in SAP business development, strategic partnerships, or program/product management.
• 10+ years of experience assisting clients with technology decisions, preferably in cloud, hosted, and managed services within the technology sector.
• 6+ years of experience responding to requests for proposals (e.g., determining requirements, aligning requirements with technical approaches and solutions, developing solutions based on requirements).
• Expert-level knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and RISE with SAP.
• Familiarity with AWS services and their application in modernizing SAP.
• Experience in data interpretation and making informed business recommendations.
• Experience in identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.
