Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine project specifications, schematics, and related documents to generate accurate cost estimates for electrical undertakings.
  • Engage with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to collect essential information for estimating.
  • Assess project scope, identify potential challenges and opportunities, and suggest value engineering alternatives.
  • Source competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers for materials, equipment, and services.
  • Compile comprehensive bid proposals, detailing labor, materials, equipment, and other associated costs.
  • Present estimates to clients, engage in negotiations, and address any inquiries or concerns.
  • Track project costs throughout the bidding phase and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Remain updated on industry trends, pricing, and local building codes and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in both commercial and residential construction.
  • Hands-on electrical field experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards relevant to both sectors.
  • Expertise in interpreting commercial and residential blueprints, specifications, and technical electrical documents.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple estimates concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering relationships with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in estimating software.
