Job Summary:

The Napa County Public Works Department is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join their team. As a Building Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for performing skilled work in the maintenance, alteration, and construction of equipment and structures. This role requires a strong background in at least one of the following building trades: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or heating/air conditioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform skilled work in the maintenance, alteration, and construction of equipment and structures
• Respond to emergencies after working hours, holidays, and weekends as needed
• Work at various locations across the county
• Collaborate with the Property Management team to provide a safe and healthy environment for County employees and visitors

Requirements:

• Four years of responsible experience in at least one of the following building trades: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or heating/air conditioning
• Completion of formal or informal education sufficient to ensure the ability to read or write at the level required for successful job performance
• Any license, certification, or registration required for this position shall be maintained (i.e. active and in good standing) at all times during employment with Napa County
