Role Overview: As a Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator, you will collaborate with trauma program leadership to oversee all facets of the department's Performance Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS) Program. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing the continuum of care to ensure compliance with established standards and guidelines.
- Assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Plan.
- Maintaining the Trauma PI database for regulatory documentation.
- Conducting concurrent reviews of cases to assess quality and compliance with state standards.
- Participating in educational programs for nursing staff and resident physicians.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary meetings for Trauma Systems & Operations Committee and Peer Review.
Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years of trauma nursing experience is required, with performance improvement experience preferred.
