Job Description:
The Materials Supervisor will manage the materials department, production scheduling, purchasing/planning, and inventory control at our new distribution facility in Merrillville, IN. You will be responsible for developing and executing schedules to meet site inventory goals and customer service levels. Your goal will be to continuously refine and improve material control processes to assure ongoing productivity and minimal overhead costs. This includes identifying capacity constrained processes and implementing strategies to meet service level requirements. The successful candidate will create planning, work schedules, and work instructions; and manage execution to achieve operational excellence. As a leader, you will also staff the materials department and coach/develop employees. If you have 5+ years related materials experience and 1+ year supervisory or leadership experience, this may be the ideal role for you.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain management or a related field
  • APICS certification preferred
