Role Overview:

As a Construction Site Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in managing utility construction projects, ensuring the safe and effective execution of daily tasks. Your responsibilities will include overseeing concrete repairs and leading a skilled team, demonstrating strong leadership, technical expertise, and a dedication to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising daily operations and ensuring adherence to job specifications.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of concrete and asphalt workers.
  • Providing training and support to less experienced team members.
  • Conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to uphold safety standards.
  • Coordinating the mobilization and demobilization of equipment as required.
  • Monitoring work quality to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Identifying challenges and implementing effective solutions promptly.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation to support project requirements.
  • Exemplifying a commitment to safety through proactive behavior and corrective actions.
  • Conducting preliminary surveys of job sites.
  • Fostering positive relationships with customers and team members.
  • Analyzing work challenges and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Securing work sites to ensure public safety and protect equipment and materials.
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining safety and quality.
  • Coordinating activities with other trades and subcontractors on-site.
  • Interpreting construction plans and specifications effectively.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned to contribute to project success.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional construction certifications are advantageous.
  • DOT Medical Card and Class A or B CDL preferred for operating company vehicles.

  • Thorough understanding of utility construction methods, tools, materials, and safety practices.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete and asphalt work.
