The University of New Mexico is seeking a qualified Epileptologist to enhance our Neurology department. This role is integral to our faculty team, focusing on delivering exceptional patient care in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
Clinical Duties:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing coverage and on-call support for adult neurology inpatient services.
- Managing outpatient neurology clinics and specialty services.
- Interpreting adult electroencephalograms (EEGs) for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Academic Responsibilities:
Engagement in educational activities is essential, including:
- Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Research Engagement:
Participation in clinical trials and research initiatives within the department is expected.

The University of New Mexico Hospital serves as the primary tertiary care facility in the state, recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a NAEC level 4 epilepsy center.

Minimum Requirements:

- 2-3 years of clinical experience in neurology.
