Description

As a key member of our mountain resort team, the Lift Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our chairlifts. This is a seasonal position that requires excellent guest service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and direct guests on and off chairlifts, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Verify the validity of guests' tickets or passes using a scanner, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with resort policies.
  • Maintain the loading/unloading ramps and lift line areas, ensuring they are clear of debris and obstacles.
  • Remove snow from chairs, ramps, and work areas, ensuring the lift is operational and safe for guests.
  • Organize lift lines, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of guests.
  • Operate machinery and tools responsibly, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist in emergency situations, such as lift evacuations, and respond to guest inquiries and concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success of the resort.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must know how to operate basic machinery.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have excellent guest service skills.
  • Must be able to ski or snowboard safely to and from assigned workstations using company-designated routes.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays and required.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull objects weighing 50+ lbs.
  • Must be able to work for an extended period of time in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold and/or wind.
  • Must be able to work at high altitudes for an extended period of time.
