Nuclear Equipment Operator

About the Role
Constellation Energy is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the monitoring, control, and operation of nuclear station equipment in the control room.
Key Responsibilities
- Starts, stops, controls, and monitors nuclear reactor and auxiliary reactor systems as required for plant operations.
- Starts, stops, controls, and monitors steam turbine, main generator, and auxiliary turbine generating equipment as required to maintain maximum station capability.
- Monitors recorders and indicators within the control room for the nuclear and turbine generator systems for operation within prescribed limits.
- Responds to plant indicators and alarms in accordance with plant procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2 years of non-generating nuclear power facility experience or a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a related science program.
- 43 credit hours of post-secondary education with 75% being advanced math, physics, chemistry, and/or engineering/engineering technology.
- 1 year of power plant experience.
