Job Title: Registered Nurse - PRN Pool

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our PRN Pool team in Bellevue, Nebraska. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse - PRN Pool will provide professional nursing care to patients in our PRN Pool, working under the supervision of an Assistant Director of Nursing or Administrative Nurse. This role will involve directing, coordinating, and monitoring patient care activities, as well as providing clinical direction and guidance to Licensed Practical Nurses and direct care staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient nursing care and treatments within the scope of licensure
  • Direct and coordinate patient care activities
  • Provide clinical direction and guidance to Licensed Practical Nurses and direct care staff
  • Assist in the orientation of newly hired nurses
  • Make patient rounds and closely monitor patient condition
  • Evaluate and report patient symptoms, progress, and reactions to medications
  • Consult with physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, and other treatment staff members to communicate necessary information to assure quality patient care
Requirements:
  • A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska
  • Knowledge of nursing theory and practice, accepted standards of care, policies and procedures governing nursing care, sanitation and infection control standards, policies, and procedures, and current medications, their uses and reactions
  • Skill in coordinating and providing nursing care
  • Ability to observe changes in the medical condition of patients and effectively communicate these changes to other nursing staff members and physicians
