Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in providing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, welfare, and preservation of the rights of clients. They will interact with clients, staff, and visitors with respect and dignity, completing monitoring of client activities to ensure treatment plans and facility policies are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring client safety and well-being
  • Completing daily living skills tasks (grooming, bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, toileting)
  • Assisting with meal preparation and cooking
  • Maintaining a safe and sanitary living environment
  • Supporting clients in participating in community activities and outings
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs
  • No prior experience required
  • Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
