Job Type: Full-time/Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

The Infection Control Nurse is responsible for conducting rounds and engaging with healthcare staff to monitor and discuss infection control practices. This role involves gathering and analyzing infection data from various departments, maintaining detailed records for each case of healthcare-associated infections, and leading outbreak investigations. Additionally, the nurse will provide training to staff on effective infection prevention strategies, investigate infection incidents, report findings to the relevant departments, and ensure that necessary supplies for infection control are readily available.


Required Qualifications:
  • Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Wyoming.
  • At least one year of nursing experience in a post-acute long-term care environment is required.
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is expected to be obtained within two years of employment, with completion of CDC modules on Infection Prevention within the first three months.
