Job Summary:

Vets Hired is seeking a skilled Healthcare Carpenter Foreman to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising carpentry projects within our state hospitals.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize carpentry projects, including alteration and construction work.
  • Supervise a small on-site team and ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Perform individual tasks related to the job-site requirements.
  • Complete purchase orders and maintain quality control.
  • Interact with clients and coordinate with other trades as required.
  • Write RFI's and review submittals.
  • Update project schedules on P6.

Qualifications:

  • Considerable knowledge of rough and finish carpentry, building techniques, and construction methods.
  • Understanding of Infection Control Risk Assessment procedures.
  • Healthcare experience is an asset.
  • OSHA 30-hour and ICRA certification required.
  • Willingness to travel within CT.
  • Able to pass a background screen and drug test.
  • Annual flu shot required.
