Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Multimedia Journalist to join our team in Lincoln, Nebraska. As a key member of our news department, you will be responsible for researching, writing, shooting, and editing engaging stories that capture the hearts of our audience.

This role requires a strong on-air presence, excellent storytelling skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. You will be expected to:

  • Shoot, write, and edit compelling video packages and vo-sots
  • Pitch innovative story ideas that have a right-now impact
  • Create engaging content for social media and our website
  • Dig deeper into complex stories to provide insightful reporting
  • Produce special reports as needed
  • Develop web-extra content to enhance our online presence
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field is preferred
  • The willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

In return, we offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401K, vacation time, paid holidays, and exceptional growth opportunities.
