Join the Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic in Viera, FL as a Non-Invasive Cardiologist (Advanced Cardiac Imaging). This role involves delivering comprehensive care to our Veterans while contributing to the development of an advanced cardiac imaging program, which includes cardiac CTA and cardiac MR. Responsibilities encompass outpatient clinics, inpatient teaching rounds, and consultations, including ICU duties. You will be tasked with performing or interpreting diagnostic studies such as echocardiography, TEE, event monitors, and ECGs. Additionally, you will provide consultation support to inpatient services and assist Primary Care providers through various communication methods.

Your role will include supervising Internal Medicine Residents and Cardiology Fellows, with opportunities to pursue an academic appointment at the University of Central Florida. Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology, cardiac CT, and Cardiac MRI is required, with a preference for echocardiography board certification. Fellowship training in advanced cardiac imaging (e.g., coronary CTA and cardiac MR) is highly desirable. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with on-call duties approximately every 10-12 weeks, focusing on inpatient service without outpatient or non-invasive study interpretation responsibilities during on-call periods.
