Job Title: Staff Pharmacist II

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Pharmacist II to join our team in Verona, Mississippi.

Job Summary

The Staff Pharmacist II at North Mississippi Health Services is a multifaceted position that requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care across various healthcare settings, providing medication education, conducting research, and maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and provide care to patients across the continuum of care, in conjunction with other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist in designing and coordinating clinical pharmacy services.
  • Develop care plans and guidelines to include drug, devices, and delivery modalities.
  • Provide pharmacotherapy education and training to pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor and manage drug therapy in designated patient populations.
  • Participate in departmental performance improvement programs and maintain CE hours as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy.
  • Licensed as a Pharmacist by the State Board of Pharmacy in the state based on facility location.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in comparable health system pharmacy.
  • American Society of Health Systems Pharmacy Residency (ASHP) or 3 years clinical practice experience (clinical).
  • American Society of Health Systems Pharmacy Residency (ASHP) or 3 years operational experience (operational).
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Pharmacy (PharmD).
  • Previous patient care or equivalent previous experience with demonstrated proficiency in clinical areas needed to enhance pharmaceutical care.
