We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Day Kimball Healthcare. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a vital role in performing a variety of technical procedures and applying prescribed radionuclides for diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of Nuclear Medicine exams, including cardiac SPECT and other invasive procedures.
- Prepare radioactive tracer compounds for patient use.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients in appropriate dosages, while practicing radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients, staff, and self.
- Explain procedures to patients, instruct and assist patients in assuming physical positions for each exam.
- Follow NRC guidelines for documentation, safety, and approved protocols, and set, adjust, manipulate, control, and maintain complex electronic nuclear medicine equipment for diagnosis of disease.
- Successful completion of a formal Nuclear Medicine training program approved by the Council on Education of the American Medical Association.
- Certified or Registered in Nuclear Medicine by the ARRTN or CNMT.
- Maintain CEUs to keep certification and/or registration current and in good standards.
- CPR - Current AHA Healthcare Provider Certification / equivalent within 3 months of hire.
- Minimum of 1-year practical experience performing related duties in the field of Nuclear Medicine, including IV insertion.
