Job Summary

DCI Donor Services is seeking a highly skilled Referral Screening Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in the donation process, ensuring that potential donors are thoroughly evaluated and screened for suitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the Donation Process: Coordinate and communicate referral information and logistics to ensure seamless donation process.
  • Maintain Accurate Documentation: Enter accurate medical screening data and follow established referral intake procedures.
  • Evaluate Medical Suitability: Assess potential organ and tissue donors by reviewing medical records, personal histories, physical examinations, and current health status.
  • Request and Interpret Laboratory Tests: Collaborate with hospital personnel and clinical teams to request and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop Action Plans: Work with hospital teams to develop action plans that support donation options and activate DCIDS team members as needed.
  • Participate in Training and QA/QC: Participate in training, process improvement, and departmental QA/QC activities.
Requirements
  • 2+ Years of Emergency or Critical Care Experience: Proven experience in a healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and ability to read medical charts.
  • Exceptional Teamwork and Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate complex information, and manage conflicts.
  • Valid Driver's License: Ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements.
