Electrical Systems Integration Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Integration Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and programming Integrated Security fire and security systems for commercial customers.

You will coordinate installations, read blueprints, and ensure the safety and quality of work performed.

This is an excellent opportunity to mentor junior installers and manage installation teams on larger projects.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience.

In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) savings plan with company match.

Job Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 5-8 years of electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service

What You Will Do:

As a critical part of our team, you will work onsite with our commercial customers to set up and program their Integrated Security fire and security systems.

You will also dismantle and reconstruct equipment when necessary, ensuring all work is done safely and responsibly.

How You Will Do It:

Installs appropriate devices; dismantles and reconstructs equipment as required by customer or Tyco Integrated Security.

Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, property damage, loss of unused materials, and cleaning up installation debris.

Contact customers before the date of scheduled installation to verify the schedule.

Prepares estimates per prescribed instructions or directions of the supervisor.

Follow proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures.

Tests operation of the system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.

Reads building, electrical, and sprinkler blueprints as required.

Coordinates installations with police/fire departments and handles necessary records for notification of emergency calls.

May manage installation teams on larger projects.

Coach and mentor less experienced installers.
