Riot Games is seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our team in developing the next generation of gaming experiences. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and delivering high-quality player-facing experiences for our genre-defining game.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement backend services for our game using Unreal Engine
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth launch at scale
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of our engineering team
  • Utilize internal and external cloud technologies and services to deliver scalable and production-ready architecture

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience building backend systems for interactive UIs and game systems
  • Experience developing large systems from scratch, including gathering requirements and designing scalable architecture
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Strong ability to collaborate with teammates across multiple disciplines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on a global scale online game
  • Experience using Unreal Engine 4 or 5
  • Experience shipping Golang, C#, C++ code in production environments
