We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a RN Float Pool member at Cape Canaveral Hospital. As a RN Float Pool nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and demonstrate leadership through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications to patients and ensure effective communication with the healthcare team.
- Delegate and supervise patient care activities, promoting effective team functioning and patient safety.
- Utilize Health First computer systems for order entry, order inquiry, and patient care documentation.
- Document all nursing care, changes in condition, responses to therapy, treatments, procedures, and referrals on patient records.
- Provide patient, family, and caregiver education as directed by the plan of care.
- Contribute to the patient experience by promoting positive patient satisfaction and HCAHPs scores.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma from an accredited professional nursing program.
- Current State of Florida RN licensure or endorsement.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Completion Card.
- Ability to speak/understand written and verbal instructions in the English language.
- Sound organizational skills, including time management and problem-solving.
This role requires physical agility, with frequent walking, standing, running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching. Heavy work involves lifting or moving objects up to 100 pounds or more with or without assistance.
