Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Harmony United Psychiatric Care is a network of outpatient mental health clinics providing comprehensive, full-service mental health services in Florida through in-person and virtual visits. Our team of mental health professionals includes psychiatrists, clinical psychologists/neuropsychologists, board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioners, certified physician assistants, and licensed therapists. We care for adults, adolescents, and children aged five and above, treating each patient with compassion and respect. Our goal is to provide the best treatment possible through individualized care for patients' needs.
Responsibilities
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for patients with a variety of mental health conditions. You will also provide medication management and brief psychotherapeutic interventions, administer injections for Long-Acting Injectables when necessary, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Additionally, you will provide psychoeducation to patients and their families about mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies, document services rendered in compliance with company policies and procedures, and stay current with advancements in psychiatry through continuing education and professional development.
Compensation Package
We offer a competitive compensation package, including up to $130 per hour, group malpractice insurance, and a strong focus on work/life balance. As an Independent Contractor, you will have the choice to determine your working hours and will have access to full administrative support, the latest in EMR technology, and the option to work 50% telemedicine from the beginning of employment. You will also be required to be available to work via telemedicine Friday-Sunday and will have the option to work on-call (phone only) seven days every 5-6 months.
E-Verify Statement
We participate in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration, and if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security, with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization. Please note that we do not use this information to pre-screen job applicants.
Drug-free policy
We enforce a comprehensive drug-free workplace policy to ensure the safety and security of our employees and visitors. We prohibit the use of illegal drugs and the unauthorized use of controlled substances on company premises or during work hours. To ensure compliance, we conduct pre-employment drug screening and random drug testing for current employees. Violations of this policy will lead to disciplinary action, including termination of employment.
