Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including gamma cameras, PET scanners, and computer systems
  • Monitor patients during procedures and ensure their safety and comfort
  • Process and analyze images to provide accurate and high-quality diagnostic information
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate course of treatment for patients
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures and patient information
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations related to the handling and disposal of radioactive materials
  • Stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and techniques through continuing education and training

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field
  • Current certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of nuclear medicine equipment and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
