Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at SAIC. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems and infrastructure to support our customers' mission-critical operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement network architectures, server virtualization systems, and other IT infrastructure components
- Configure and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools
- Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability through proactive monitoring and maintenance
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel to resolve technical issues and meet new requirements
- Interact with government service owners, network technicians, customers, and service desk to resolve issues or meet new requirements
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in systems engineering and IT infrastructure
- DoD Secret clearance or higher
- Must have at least one of the following IAT Level II certifications: Security+, CECCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP
- Must have at least one Computing Environment (CE) certification or certificate for the technical area of responsibility for Network support/defense (e.g., Splunk, Cisco, McAfee, etc.) OR Operating System (e.g., Microsoft, Linux, Solaris, etc.)
- Must possess competencies in installation, service design, and support in an environment that uses Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016
- Experience with production environments
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be available to participate in on-call work on a reoccurring basis
- Solid troubleshooting skills and demonstrated ability of end-to-end problem management and ownership
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Working knowledge of authentication functions and protocols such as LDAP, Kerberos, and Active Directory
