Job Description

Ampco Pumps Co Inc is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, perform accounting tasks, and assist with financial reporting.

This role requires a strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform A/P duties, including matching, filing, coding, and entering into the ERP system, as well as investigating discrepancies.
  • Communicate with clients and vendors via phone and email.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including month/quarter/year end closing reconciliations.
  • Organize and maintain financial documents and records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Assist with audits, fact-checking, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager with various accounting tasks and projects as needed.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Perform with a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Solid organizational, communication, problem-solving, and research abilities.
  • Strong business skills and effective understanding of financial, distribution, and manufacturing systems.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or Associate's degree/relevant certifications plus experience
  • 1-2 years relevant accounting experience
  • Manufacturing experience a plus
