Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Critical Care team at Penn State Health. As a critical care physician assistant, you will work closely with our healthcare team to assess, examine, diagnose, and treat acute illness or injury related to traumatic mechanisms.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and examine patients to diagnose and treat acute illness or injury
  • Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab studies and imaging
  • Prescribe medications as needed
  • Work in an inpatient critical care area
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment
  • National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification
  • Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS) certification
