Utility Operations Specialist

Job Summary
The Utility position at Florida Crystals / ASR Group is responsible for ensuring a clean and sanitized work environment by following standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning and sanitation duties in accordance with SOPs, including product packaging, labeling, and warehousing.
- Execute the Daily Cleaning Schedule, Daily Facilities Evaluation, and Weekly Cleaning Schedule, and complete associated paperwork.
- Adhere to GMP, food safety, and safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory inspections as required.
- Operate a forklift safely and complete related paperwork for tote production, organic sugar production, occasional deliveries, and shipments.
- Assist maintenance personnel as needed.
- Complete production reports and review with shift/maintenance lead daily.
Requirements
- Prior experience operating a forklift is preferred.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Prior experience working in a FDA or SQF regulated environment is preferred.
Essential Capabilities
- Proficiency in PC skills is required.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with peers and leadership is required.
- Must possess great attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Demonstrated ability to arrive to work on time and work overtime as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs. repetitively.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; sit; climb or balance; scoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear.
- Must be able to work under hot or cool, wet, and sometimes-dusty, and loud conditions, and may require dust mask, coveralls, and/or hearing protection.
