Amergis is seeking a skilled School Nurse Specialist to join our team. This role offers a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and location.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires a strong background in nursing and experience working with students in a school setting. As a School Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with educators and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for students with various health needs
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure student health and well-being
  • Conduct health assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide education to students, parents, and staff
  • Maintain accurate records of student health information, including medical history, medications, and allergies
Requirements
  • Graduate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where practicing
  • 1+ year of experience as a school nurse or in a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Current CPR certification
