Job Summary

Assist with patient care in the emergency room setting, working under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or physician. This role requires a general knowledge base, such as that acquired through a high school diploma or GED. Previous experience as an Emergency Department Technician, Medical Assistant, or Nursing Assistant is preferred. BCLS certification is required. One of four certifications is required: B-EMT, Graduate Medical Assistant from an accredited program, completion of a formal nursing education program to practice as an RN offshore, or completion of a formal medical doctor education program to practice as a medical doctor offshore. EMT license is preferred. Successful completion of a 180-day orientation period is required.
