The successful candidate will ensure the comfort and well-being of students, faculty, and staff by providing quality building environments.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including central chiller plants, air handlers, pumps, and ventilation systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, units, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Operate motor vehicles to transport materials and equipment as needed.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of HVAC experience or equivalent combination of specialized training and experience.
- Valid Florida driver's license required.
- Universal Refrigerant Card Certificate and Journeyman HVAC Mechanic License preferred.
The successful candidate will work in a variety of environments, including confined spaces, with exposure to hazardous chemicals, loud noise, and physical demands. Personal protective equipment will be provided and required as needed.
