About the Role

Sunrise Services is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee to join our Behavioral Health Team in Everett. As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in providing clinical services and working closely with our team of experienced counselors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to patients, under the close supervision of a clinical supervisor.
  • Conduct chemical dependency assessments and develop individualized treatment plans using the ASAM Patient Placement Criteria.
  • Record patient notes and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and counselor intern meetings to stay updated on best practices and share knowledge.
Requirements
  • Current registration by the Washington State Department of Health and progress toward Chemical Dependency Professional certification.
  • An associate's degree in human services or a related field from an approved school, or successful completion of 90 quarter or 60 semester college credits in courses from an approved school.
  • Maintain current TB test and First Aid/CPR documentation.
  • No history of misuse of alcohol or other drugs for a minimum of one year prior to employment with Sunrise Services.
