We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team at The Alden Network. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to our customers and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by our nursing assistants.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to customers, including administering medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Supervise nursing assistants and ensure they are performing required duties and following established procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for customers, including assessing their needs and developing strategies to meet those needs.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care is provided to customers.
- Document customer care and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in continuing education programs to stay up-to-date on the latest nursing practices and procedures.
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as a LPN in the State of Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within two weeks of employment.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner.
- Ability to make independent decisions and work harmoniously with other personnel.
- Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Ability to relate to and work with customers, family members, and other personnel.
The LPN will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on providing high-quality care to customers. The LPN will be required to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, and customers in excess of 50 pounds throughout the day.
