FEMA Public Assistance Costing Analyst
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled professional to fill the role of FEMA Public Assistance Costing Analyst. In this essential position, you will be responsible for evaluating and confirming cost estimates submitted by applicants for FEMA Public Assistance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cost analysis, comprehensive knowledge of FEMA regulations, and the capability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cost Evaluation: Assess and verify cost estimates provided by applicants for FEMA Public Assistance programs, ensuring precision, thoroughness, and compliance with FEMA standards. Analyze the reasonableness and legitimacy of project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and other eligible expenditures.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Keep abreast of FEMA policies, guidelines, and regulations related to cost eligibility for Public Assistance programs. Interpret and apply FEMA regulations to determine the eligibility of costs submitted by applicants.
  • Documentation Review: Work alongside FEMA representatives and applicants to validate and document cost estimates. Identify and address any discrepancies or missing elements in the cost documentation.
  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize specialized software and tools for cost estimation and analysis. Provide technical expertise in reviewing complex cost documentation, including large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Effective Communication: Maintain close communication with applicants to clarify cost-related queries and resolve any issues. Ensure effective dialogue with FEMA representatives and other stakeholders to guarantee a thorough understanding of cost eligibility criteria.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and organized records of cost estimates, validation processes, and communications. Use relevant databases and systems for tracking and managing cost-related information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as finance, accounting, engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in cost estimation, ideally within the context of FEMA Public Assistance programs or a similar area.

SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities for assessing cost estimates.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Adobe Pro, and general technology usage.
  • Experience with specialized software and tools for cost estimation and analysis.
  • Thorough understanding of FEMA regulations and guidelines regarding cost eligibility for Public Assistance programs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with applicants, FEMA representatives, and team members.
  • Adaptability to changing guidelines and regulations, as well as evolving disaster response scenarios.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
As a W2 employee of iParametrics, team members are eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with a company-matching 401K plan, subject to plan terms and applicable waiting periods. Compensation for this role is hourly, ranging from $22 to $26 per hour, based on experience, background, and skills.
