Job Summary:

The New York Foundling is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide nursing care and coordinate medical services for individuals with developmental disabilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing medical needs, planning interventions, and evaluating outcomes of care. Your expertise will ensure that our clients receive high-quality medical services that promote their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and coordinate medical services for individuals with developmental disabilities
• Assess medical needs, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes of care
• Coordinate with other medical providers regarding care management
• Monitor medical care of individuals and provide medical consultation regarding individual medical needs
• Provide telephone triage to agency staff and provide or assist with activities of daily living for individuals
• Administer medication and provide AMAP certifications and recertification classes for IRA staff
• Monitor and provide supervision to all AMAP certified staff and coordinate medical services with Residence, Schools, and Day Services

Requirements:

• BSN preferred, ASN accepted
• Updated First Aid/CPR certifications required
• 2-3 years working with adults with developmental disabilities
• Completion of mandated course: Infection Control, Abuse/Incident Reporting
