STAFF ACCOUNTANT

The main responsibility of this position is to manage the accounts receivable function, support the month-end closing activities, and handle all inventory-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting:
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure a timely month-end closing process, which includes the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Conduct daily and monthly bank account reconciliations.
  • Engage with external CPAs during the annual review process.
Accounts Receivable:
  • Oversee credit and collection processes to guarantee prompt collection of owed funds while maintaining a positive rapport with customers and the sales team.
  • Regularly review the AR aging report to identify potential payment challenges.
  • Follow up with overdue customers to address outstanding balances.
Inventory Management:
  • Conduct daily cycle counts and analyze any discrepancies.
  • Participate in weekly assessments of obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
  • Verify job orders for completion, ensuring accurate posting of all labor and inventory.
Additional Qualifications:

Minimum education: Bachelor's degree in accounting.

At least 3 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting environments.

Familiarity with GAAP principles.

Proficient in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills required.

Previous ERP experience is preferred, with Epicor experience being a plus.

Willingness to perform other tasks as assigned.

Must be able to occasionally stand, walk, sit, and lift/carry up to 25 lbs.

This is a full-time position.
