Job SummaryThis is a senior-level position that requires a strong background in robotics engineering, with expertise in designing and developing autonomous navigation systems, sensor integration, and control algorithms. As an Automation Systems Developer at Unreal Gigs, you will work on projects that span across industrial automation, autonomous vehicles, and more, creating systems that operate autonomously in complex environments.
You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with AI and machine learning teams to integrate intelligent decision-making into robots, and work closely with mechanical engineers to design robotic hardware. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and test robotic systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Development: Design, build, and program robotic systems for various applications, including autonomous vehicles and industrial automation.
- Autonomous Navigation and Control: Develop and implement control algorithms for autonomous navigation, path planning, and obstacle avoidance.
- Sensor Integration and Fusion: Integrate computer vision and sensor fusion techniques to enable robots to perceive and understand their surroundings.
- Simulation and Prototyping: Build and test robotic prototypes using simulation tools like Gazebo, ROS, or V-REP.
- Mechanical Design and Integration: Collaborate with mechanical engineers to design robotic hardware, ensuring seamless integration with electronic and software systems.
Requirements:
- Robotics Engineering Expertise: Strong knowledge of robotics principles, including kinematics, dynamics, and control theory.
- Programming and Robotics Frameworks: Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C++, and MATLAB, along with experience using robotics frameworks such as ROS.
- Autonomous Systems and Navigation: Expertise in autonomous navigation, SLAM, path planning, and obstacle avoidance.
- Sensors and Actuators: Hands-on experience with various sensors and actuators, including LIDAR, cameras, RADAR, motors, servos, and hydraulic systems.
- Mechanical Engineering and Simulation: Solid understanding of mechanical design and ability to work with CAD tools and simulation environments.
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
