About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Nursing Home Administrator to join our team at Bessemer Nursing & Rehab Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Nursing Home Administrator in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
  • Lead strategic initiatives for patient and resident services, community outreach, and key industry relationships.
  • Develop and implement innovative facility-wide planning to achieve 5-Star rating status.
  • Lead resource management for all aspects of services, including budgeting and internal controls.
  • Assist with the effective utilization of physical and financial resources of the facility.
  • Review and act upon reports from authorized inspecting agencies with the Administrator.
  • Commit to maintaining a system of responsible accounting, including budget and internal controls.
  • Aid the Administrator in continuing programs of formal and informal education in healthcare, administrative, and management areas.
  • Assist with recruitment, selection, and retention of department managers, and educate and develop those managers to achieve departmental goals.
  • Empower employees to perform at their highest level, using a participative style of management that allows employees to share in policy development.
  • Ensure a work environment that encourages safety, longevity, growth, and personal satisfaction for all staff.
  • Ensure a Continuous Quality Improvement Program is in place and follow-up occurs.
  • Assist in the development of mission statements, philosophies, goals, and objectives for the facility, and manage key staff to accomplish them.
  • Ensure effective communication among supervisors, residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience, with a license to practice Health Care Administration in Long Term Care – NHA.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare/Long-Term Care Administration, Nursing, or Social Work with 5 years of supervisory/management experience and enrolled in Long-Term Care Administration Courses with the expectation of receiving a Nursing Home Administrator's License within one year of hire date.
  • Experience in long-term care preferred.
