About the Job

We are seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and support to individuals with behavioral health needs.

Job Summary:

  • Provide high-quality direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities.
  • Observe and record patient behavior, reporting any changes or concerns to ensure optimal care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that meet individual needs.

Requirements:

  • BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire date.
  • Certification in Crisis Prevention is preferred but not required.
  • Nurse Aide credential from the Indiana Board of Nursing is also preferred but not mandatory.

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of cumulative experience in patient care, OR an Associate's degree/Technical degree, OR 4 years of applicable job-specific experience is required.
  • Previous patient care experience and behavioral health background are highly desirable.
