The Dietitian will serve as a vital resource for physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, ensuring optimal nutritional care and education for patients.

Our Division of Pulmonary Medicine is recognized nationally for its excellence in treating lung and breathing-related conditions. We are committed to delivering the highest quality of care for children facing various pulmonary challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage databases, school forms, and patient visits as needed.
  • Participate in Annual Training/Conference travel.
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments by analyzing data from various sources.
  • Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on assessment findings and patient population trends.
  • Coordinate nutrition care plans with physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Advocate for patient rights and provide resources to resolve issues.
  • Document nutrition care plans in medical records, including assessments, diagnoses, and progress.
  • Assess educational needs of patients and families, providing appropriate nutrition education and counseling.
  • Develop and revise standards for patient populations using a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Contribute to the planning and development of nutrition-related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • All employees must pass a TB test, drug screening, and physical examination.
Desired Qualifications
  • Three or more years of experience in a pediatric medical group or healthcare environment.
  • CSP certification is preferred.
  • Experience with the EPIC System is a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is desirable.
