Job Title: Youth Care Specialist

At AMIkids Sandoval, Inc., we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our emergency in-take facility, you will play a vital role in providing guidance and support to youth in our care.

Job Summary

The Youth Care Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the safety and supervision of all youth in the facility, while also providing a positive and supportive environment for their growth and development. This includes teaching social, self-help, academic, and living skills, as well as preventing and intervening in youth altercations and incidents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and supervision of all youth in accordance with operational and contractual requirements
  • Provide guidance and support to youth in their personal and social development
  • Teach social, self-help, academic, and living skills to youth
  • Prevent and intervene in youth altercations and incidents
  • Implement Behavior Skills Training and other evidence-based programs
  • Supervise youth during quiet and sleeping hours, and conduct bed checks as required
  • Complete required shift documentation and reports
  • Notify management of any problems or incidents
  • Participate in debriefs and provide updates on youth and program developments
Requirements
  • Associate degree with three years of experience working with children, families, or youth; or High school diploma/GED with four years of experience working with children, families, or youth
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field preferred
