Job Title: Registered Nurse - RN

Job Summary:

Hillside Family of Agencies is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse - RN to join our team. As a Registered Nurse - RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to children and youth, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize and maintain the psychiatric well-being of youth and adolescents.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments on clients with illness, injury, or health-related/psychological concerns.
  • Report any significant findings to the appropriate medical provider and guardian, when necessary.
  • Implement prescribed intervention methods and transcribe all information accurately and efficiently.
  • Administer medication safely, accurately, and in accordance with NYS and agency guidelines.
  • Monitor for signs of adverse reactions to medications and/or treatments.
  • Effectively triage phone calls regarding health-related concerns of youth in care.
  • Support other members of the nursing team to ensure quality care is delivered in an effective and timely manner.
  • Oversee and supervise care provided by LPNs and other health office staff.
  • Provide assessments, monitor, and care for youth in the event of a physical restraint.
  • Administer first aid during emergency situations and coordinate patient care until EMS arrives or the youth is transported to an emergency department.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited Nursing Program and NYS license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Valid and unrestricted New York State Driver's License and must meet agency driving and insurance standards.
