Job Summary

The Philadelphia Housing Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director to lead the CHOICE Neighborhoods Initiative. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of urban planning, community development, and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive work plans to achieve Transformation Plan goals and objectives.
  • Manage and coordinate activities with internal and external stakeholders, including PHA departments, the City of Philadelphia, and community partners.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of budgets, reporting systems, and communication protocols.
  • Supervise and manage CNI support staff to ensure successful grant implementation.
  • Pursue future grant opportunities to support PHA's development agenda.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field and a minimum of five years of directly related experience.
  • At least two years of experience in urban planning, real estate development, affordable housing, community development, or social work administration.
  • Experience in managing complex projects with multiple team members and supervising staff.
  • Demonstrated collaborative and team leadership skills, with strong public speaking, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs and experience with HUD and federal grant management and reporting.
