Job Description

AECOM is seeking a talented Senior Federal Project Manager to join our Central Civil Works Department. In this role, you will help manage our flood risk management design and construction projects for USACE, USIBWC, and NRCS.

Our team has a passion for making a positive impact on community safety and developing solutions for the technical challenges these projects bring.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing all phases of projects from proposal to close-out
  • Preparing project work plans, scopes, schedules, and budgets
  • Communicating with project team members and monitoring project production
  • Ensuring compliance with schedule, budget, and quality objectives
  • Adhering to AECOM and federal/client quality control and safety planning and requirements
  • Developing detailed subcontractor scopes and bid sheets
  • Making sound, well-informed, and objective decisions
  • Identifying, mitigating, and managing project risks
  • Advising and mentoring less experienced staff on project management skills
  • Overseeing design staff and team members for civil works, flood risk reduction, and CSRM projects
  • Identifying new business opportunities and participating in project presentations
  • Coordinating and participating in contract negotiations and drafting professional service agreements

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Valid Driver's License and US Citizenship or Permanent Resident
  • Preferred qualifications include 20+ years of professional experience, 10+ years as a project manager, and experience with USACE projects related to flood risk management
