Employment & Training Specialist - Full Time

Location:
Worcester, MA

Compensation:
$19.55 per hour, plus a $40 bi-weekly stipend for bilingual skills

Work Schedule:
40 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Role Summary:
The Employment Specialist plays a crucial role in guiding individuals towards successful lives by connecting them with essential resources and support services in the community. You will cultivate and maintain employment partnerships between clients and local employers, facilitating access to various job training and educational opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include assisting individuals with resume creation, navigating the application process, preparing for interviews, and providing on-the-job support. The Employment Specialist fosters self-sufficiency and independence through skill-building activities focused on adaptability, communication, and problem-solving. Additional tasks encompass vocational guidance, job development, job placement, employer education, and customer relations.

Qualifications:
- Associate's degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience OR High School/HiSET/GED with 3 years of related experience
- Preferred: Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficient in computer usage, including various Microsoft applications and email
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; willingness to transport program participants
- Ability to travel within the region to engage with residential settings, employers, and community organizations
- Bilingual proficiency in Haitian, Spanish, or Creole is preferred
