About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dietary Associate to join our team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our Food Service department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dietary services.

Responsibilities
  • Review patient census information and work closely with Clinical Dietitians to ensure accurate and timely meal setup.
  • Obtain and communicate changes in patient diet and room status to unit staff.
  • Print and distribute daily patient menus to nursing units.
  • Enter patient meal preferences using our bedside menu entry system.
  • Deliver meal trays to patients and retrieve soiled trays.
  • Maintain accurate menu tallies and totals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some college and/or higher academic standing preferred.
