Live Event Camera Operator

Event Details:

Job Summary:

Sportradar is seeking a skilled Live Event Camera Operator to assist with video capture and live streaming of youth basketball games and events. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup and break down of camera/streaming equipment for assigned events
  • Video capture of all games on one court for the duration of the event
  • Live stream management of all games on one court for the duration of the event
  • Assist the Production Lead with video file transfers and management
  • High volume video capture for events with back-to-back games
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Willingness to work weekends
  • Ability to lift ~35 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Familiarity with camera/streaming equipment (tripods, cameras, laptops, cabling, etc.)
  • 18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with sports video capture/live streaming
  • Knowledge & understanding of the sport of basketball
  • Transportation to/from event locations

Compensation:

$25 per game, with approximately 8-10 games per day

Training:

Hired camera operators will receive remote training prior to the event and on-site training from the Production Lead
