Job Summary

This position is responsible for operating gamma cameras to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, providing high-quality images for interpretation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiopharmaceuticals and their preparation, calibration, and administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate gamma cameras to perform standard dynamic, static, and tomographic procedures
  • Prepare, calibrate, and calculate radiopharmaceuticals while maintaining sterility and integrity
  • Treat patients, families, and healthcare team members with respect and courtesy
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and perform procedures in accordance with department policy and procedures

Requirements

  • Completion of a formal nuclear medicine program or radiologic technology with additional nuclear training
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • Licensed with the Indiana State Board of Health for nuclear medicine
  • Previous experience in nuclear medicine or a similar role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of imaging various anatomical structures
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and share lifting of 100 lbs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of general computer skills and applications
