Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
  • Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash in a responsible manner.
  • Clean bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, and showers.
  • Clean glass and windows.
  • Wash walls and other vertical surfaces.
  • Vacuum rugs and carpets.
  • Mix cleaning solutions and maintain issued equipment.
  • Notify supervisor when supplies and equipment are needed.
  • Cooperate with team members to achieve common goals.

Physical Qualifications: The ideal candidate must be able to stand for long periods, walk, and sit. They must also be able to lift and carry 35 pounds, push and pull 35 pounds, and climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and handle. Reasonable accommodations will be considered.

Overall Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. The ideal candidate should have three to six months of training or experience working as a janitor and be capable of learning to perform the essential functions. They must also be able to pass a security clearance for designated contracts.
