Job Summary

The Animal Care Associate (ACA) Training Coordinator plays a vital role in the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center's animal care team. This position works closely with the Animal Care Director to ensure the well-being and care of the center's exhibit and program collection of native wildlife.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in performing daily animal care and maintenance tasks to ensure the health and welfare of the animals.
  • Work with the Animal Care Director to develop and implement animal care protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with all SLNSC staff to achieve and maintain established facility, regulatory, safety, and operational standards.
  • Contribute to positive guest experiences by providing excellent animal care and educational programs.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to support the animal care team.
Requirements

This position requires a strong passion for animal care and a commitment to providing exceptional care and welfare for the animals. The ideal candidate will have experience working with native wildlife and a strong understanding of animal behavior and care.
