Job Overview

The Matian Firm, APC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Personal Injury Settlement Negotiator to join our Personal Injury Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and negotiating the settlement of personal injury claims in a fair and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of case facts, including medical records, police reports, and witness statements.
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of each case to determine the best settlement strategy.
  • Engage in discussions with insurance companies, opposing counsel, and other parties to reach a mutually beneficial settlement.
  • Present evidence and arguments to justify the compensation being sought for our clients.
  • Resolve any remaining issues or disputes related to the settlement agreement.
  • Counter offers made by the opposing side, ensuring our clients' best interests are represented.
  • Ensure that settlements are fair and provide adequate compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages.
  • Obtain expert reports to substantiate claims and maximize settlement value.
  • Estimate potential compensation based on injuries, damages, and liability.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of legal experience, specifically in Personal Injury.
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel, including editing, sorting, and saving complex spreadsheets.
  • 1+ years of office experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Experience with Case Management Software.
